What if the person everyone calls so lovely is the one costing you your best people? For 20 years, psychology assumed these traits came with an inability to read people. A 2021 Nottingham Trent study of almost a thousand people broke that. Researchers found a profile combining narcissism, Machiavellianism and psychopathy with above average empathy.
They called it the dark empath. It shows up in roughly one in five people, more common than the classic cold profile. The empathy doesn't stop the
