A graveyard of brilliant unfinished projects? Here's why. If you've got 20 brilliant projects and nothing finished, this is for you. Openers generates ideas. It does not, on its own, finish anything. Highly open people fall into what's called a perpetual exploration trap. The next idea is always more exciting than the boring final 90% of the last one.

That's why pure openness, for all its brilliance, predicts surprisingly little about the real world. A brilliant idea that never ships is worth nothing. The fix isn't to have fewer ideas, it's to bolt openness onto two other things. Conscientiousness to execute and finish, and cooperation to let a partner carry the idea over the line.

World changes are visionaries who either build the discipline or have the humility to team up with finishers. If you're the idea person, your most important habit is the one that ships. The full episode is on the channel.
