Internet trolls aren't angry, they're hunting, and the science proves it. Internet trolls are not angry people venting frustration, they're hunting. A 2014 landmark study, Trolls Just Want To Have Fun, found that internet trolling is directly linked to the dark tetrad of personality traits, specifically everyday sadism.

Sadism was the single most powerful predictor. When a troll floods a comment section to ruin someone's day for the lols, the lols are real for them. That's their dopamine hit. They're getting a neurological reward from your visible distress. The old rule "Don't feed the trolls" is neurologically accurate.

Your angry response is their reward. Don't give them the payoff. Starve them. The link to the full video is in the bio. Please like and subscribe for more dark psychology and share this with someone who needs to hear it.
