Working from home didn't level the playing field, it tilted it and most people don't see how. Psychology divides the world into strong and weak situations. A strong situation, clear rules, constant supervision, loud cues, makes everyone behave the same way. A weak situation, ambiguity, freedom, no one watching, lets your personality take over.

The research shows personality predicts performance far more in loose work than in scripted work. If you struggle at home, it's probably not the job, it's the situational setup.
